We are keen to recruit team members for both our Monday Cubs and Thursday Cubs teams.
We want to give lots of young people in #Molesey the chance to enjoy #Squirrels, #Beavers, #Cubs, and #Scouts so if you volunteer, your child will jump the waiting list and can start in any one of our sections.
No prior experience or special skills are needed—just enthusiasm and a willingness to get involved. We’ll provide full support and training, and we guarantee you’ll love being part of the group.
We are a very active and friendly Scout Group and offer so many fantastic opportunities to the children of Molesey, including water activities on the Thames with our impressive fleet.
See our website for more info and to get involved (link in bio).
The first boat launch of 2026! Lovely morning on the river for some leader training.
2025 is a year to celebrate at 1st Molesey! Happy New Year, all sections start back w/b 12th January.
It`s been a year of growth (16% more young people, now 225!), new opportunities (both on and off the water), and the largest number of nights away and time on water opportunities in the history of the group.
We are the second largest Scout Group in Esher District, and this year have welcomed 2 new powerboats, 14 new kayaks, 3 new trailers and 1 new minbus – it`s safe to say all have been put to good use!
A huge thanks to everyone that makes what we do for our children possible, we are exited to see what 2026 brings.
County Lead Volunter for Surrey sent us this message:
“Congratulations to everyone involved in 1st Molesey for increasing the number of young people that are members by a whopping 16% during the past year.
This is an impressive achievement, and it reflects both the hard work that everyone has done and the quality programme that you have all delivered to achieve this superb increase.
More young people enjoying good quality Scouting is what it’s all about!
A job very well done!"

We are packing bags in East Molesey Tesco again today. Please come and say hello 👋 and support our young people raising money for our activities.

It’s not just about learning to paddle, sail or row

By providing opportunities to get afloat, we help children develop skills that they will keep with them and use throughout their working life and beyond – leadership, teamwork, problem solving and flexibility.
During the summer months we kayak, row, sail and learn to drive powerboats… it’s great fun!
Keeping young people safe
Wherever we go and whatever we do, we put young people’s safety and wellbeing first.
Young people thrive in secure surroundings, at home and away. Wherever we go, we’re serious about keeping them safe.

Our values
As Scouts we live by the values of Scouting.
They underpin everything we do, how we act and the way we treat each other.
